Bridging the Heart & Head

It’s already June!  We’ve had some very busy weeks scheduling summer, fall and even winter classes for meditation, and yoga, and setting the dates for our annual retreats in 2017, 2018, and 2019!  It seems crazy to plan so far ahead, but you’ve told me us you like “Same Time Next Year” so now it’s done!   It’s a relief for us as well, to have grounded plans creating future abundance and joy.

This brings me to creativity, abundance, and communication. These are the qualities associated with the fifth chakra, located at the base of the throat.  Information flows from the lower  three chakras to the upper two chakras and in reverse. What does that mean?  It means the throat chakra is the bridge between your heart and head.  When the bridge is clear information flows easily, and there is a vibration or rhythm allowing you to speak, listen and create with ease and flow.

When the fifth chakra (bridge) is congested the information does not flow easily.  Your voice is weak and quiet, and you have difficulty putting feelings or thoughts into words.    If your throat chakra is excessive you find yourself talking without saying anything at all… just a bunch of words and noise.  Both an deficient or excessive chakra benefits from purification, cleansing and rhythm.  You can use sound such as music or chanting to create inner balance.  Allowing yourself to consciously discharge by using you voice creates powerful communication and profound states of consciousness.

This month use sound to rebalance the 5th chakra so it can function normally, allowing information to flow effortlessly between your heart and head.
