The heavy rains, flooding, and overcast skies have left some people sad, depressed and discouraged. Any sign of the sun and they drop what they are doing to soak up the rays for much needed vitamin D and nurturing.
When we are content on the inside we enjoy life regardless of the weather patterns!
While we wait for the clouds and rain to pass we can stay bright, shiny and joyful on the inside.
We can all benefit from taking an active role in creating a positive environment for ourselves, and those around us. We may feel depressed or gloomy on the inside, but this does not have to be what we bring to our relationships, and that is especially important in the relationship we have with ourselves.
All too often we blame the weather or something external for the way we feel. Honestly, the external is only the catalyst for something that is already inside us. Our job is to be present with whatever that is and to cleanse it away if it is heavy or uncomfortable.
Meditation, of course, is the fastest and most effective way to cleanse and revitalize your energy with lasting results. When we struggle to take action towards change, or find it difficult to make a decision, we will want to observe where in our energy system we are holding. The third chakra relates to our energy distribution, our will, desires and action, and is located in the solar plexus. By opening and balancing all the chakras we reduce and clear limitations that keep us from taking action, and we develop a brighter, shinier energy field that makes it easier to make decisions, to trust and move forward.
Take the Summer Challenge!
- Commit to cleansing your chakras every day either when you wake up, or when you go to bed. We have seven chakras located from the base of the spine to the top of our head. You do not need to know exactly where they are, what they are named, or what they do. Most importantly send energy with intention and trust.
- Spend one minute nurturing each chakra. That’s only 7 minutes.
- Set the intention for energy to flow in easily.
- Smile when you wake up.
- Smile when you fall asleep.
