Staying Positive with Change

Now more than ever it is vital we all focus on positivity. Dwelling on what you don’t have, or won’t have feeds negativity.

As we approach the holiday season realizing we will be safe in the comfort of our homes we may begin to feel sad and depressed because the way we celebrate will be different this year. This will be even more prominent when Christmas songs like “I’ll be home for Christmas” bring up emotions. You know you don’t have to listen to those songs if they bring you down. Change the song to something joyful and fun. This is a positive action you can take for your own well-being.

  1. Watch movies or shows that lift your spirits.
  2. Eat healthy and well.
  3. Get a good night’s sleep.
  4. Listen to music that you like.
  5. Reach out to family and friends regularly.
  6. Decorate your home for the holidays..for YOU.
  7. Participate in classes that inspire and engage.
