Most Common Reason for a Blocked Heart Chakra

The last three newsletter articles touched on the first three chakras, or energy centers and how your awareness affects the choices you make in creating the life you want for yourself.   These first three chakras relate more to your physical reality, your instinctual self.  Moving to the fourth chakra, located at the centre of the chest, you tune into a more contemplative self as you cultivate compassion.  Physically located between the first three and upper three chakras, the fourth Chakra represents acceptance, and balance within yourself, and in relationship with others.

Through balance you discover how to nurture the relationship you have with yourself first and to build respectful relationships with others.  You must begin with your self, because the most common block of the fourth chakra is the absence of genuine self-love and self-acceptance.  In the absence of self acceptance you experience guilt, shame, and criticism, distancing and cutting yourself off from others. Your heart feels heavy, and it’s difficult to create relationships with others because the relationship with yourself is imbalanced.  When you do not love yourself you seek to fulfil feeling loved from others while drowning yourself, internally, in your own feelings of low self worth. You look to others to build up your worth, and never truly feel accepted or loved.

How to Nurture Self Acceptance

Identify one judgement you have towards yourself. It could be towards your body, how you dress, what you look like, how you act and don’t act.   Notice if this is a belief of how you ‘should be’.  When did you start believing this about yourself?

How can you change this perspective to heal from within.  Start right now…..Love Yourself First
