This Weeks Insight: ACCEPTANCE
As spiritually conscious individuals we strive not to judge and to practice compassion, empathy and understanding. It is especially tough to stay neutral and compassionate when witnessing actions that are harmful. They could be actions towards self or towards others. The mind starts to work overtime taking the soul on a mental journey of problem solving. Eventually nothing may be done other excessively thinking. Time and energetically consuming, this pattern is common repeating itself while trying to find a solution or the ‘right’ answer.
Some things in life are easy to accept. Others are not.
Does acceptance mean we have to leave things the way they are? No. Acceptance means embracing what is, but without rejecting. In that moment of realization one discovers that acceptance doesn’t mean you have to like something. Instead you stop judging yourself and others and simply see something for what it is through your own subjective reality. The more you transform judging the more you are able to make decisions and take actions based on love. Accept yourself the way you are right now. Accept there are areas that are evolving. Not because they are wrong or bad. But because you are on a path of spiritual evolution. Eventually, the things that you couldn’t accept because a distant memory no longer affecting the decisions you make today.
The first step toward change is Awareness. The second step is Acceptance. Nathaniel Branden
