Insights: Benefits of Structure
September beckons a return to structure. Those care free days of summer are replaced by routine. Structure gives us a sense of accomplishment. We set out to do certain things every day that lead to bigger things down the road.
Accountablity
Being accountable to yourself is never as easy as being accountable to another, whether it is a person or group. That accountability motivates. It keeps you on track. Your actions and results are shared.
This is why structure is helpful for our busy mind and lives. We like and dislike structures as they can lead to the same old everyday stuff. Structures can also create a false sense of security when there is not enough room for change.
Structure with Flexibility
As we enter September, you may find yourself getting back to basics that are familiar. This is the ideal time to ask yourself what is working and if there is room for change. Always keep that which brings you joy and happiness. Have a sincere look at what is causing you stress or anxiety. Be flexible with change.
Ask Yourself:
- Is there something you can do differently?
- Can you see yourself moving forward with a different perspective, more flexibility?
Before you make any big changes stop to recenter, ground and establish your energy field. When you become energetically fragmented, you are likely to make hasty decisions that may not give you the desired results. An example would be to end or start relationship, make a hasty purchase or do nothing because you are overwhelmed and anxious.
Retreat and make time for yourself to get back to the basics on an energy level.
Getting Back to Basics Spiritually
Everything begins on an energy level. Start September with a conscious decision to nurture spirit first.
