A few people expressed anger that was harmful and disrespectful yesterday after the Stanley cup playoffs in Vancouver. Many people were frightened for their own well-being and the well-being of their families who attended. Please remember that we are each accountable for our own actions, which includes our thoughts and words we share with others. This is a time to focus on peace and harmony.
Rather than judge others and contribute to the imbalance of harmony, we must each heal our own anger, fear, and the painful emotions underneath. When we do this the world heals collectively. If we focus our own anger back at those who caused the harm yesterday, we continue to give more energy to anger, which will continue to thrive. Karma is giving us a chance to revisit something we missed the last time around during the playoffs in 1994.
If we are experiencing anger it is our responsibility to uncover the painful emotions underneath, and to heal ourselves first. Forgiveness means to heal the past, to let go, and to understand.
I do not condone the actions of harm caused by a small number of people. But I see they are each suffering from painful emotions that they have not had a chance to process. Let’s each process our own painful emotions to bring peace and harmony back to the world from within.
Please find it in your heart to extend love to everyone.
Heal your own anger with loving kindness, understanding we are all one, collectively healing our wounds. Forgive yourself and others. Love yourself and others.
The time is now – the light within each of us shines with truth. Regina Kaiser
