How Meditation Quietly Changes Everything

Insights Newsletter – May 2026

My last newsletter brought awareness to Emerging Gently. This month I would like to explore the power of awareness without effort.

Most of us are taught to work hard to get what we want in life. We focus on manifesting our dreams and desires by putting in everything we’ve got.  Unfortunately, we can quickly slip into effort and lose sight of creating with ease.  You know you’ve lost your focus if it ‘hurts’ or feels overwhelming. And if you are no longer enjoying the process!

Dedicating yourself to a project need not create an imbalance in your life. Likely, if you’ve lost yourself to something, you will have given up some of the things that matter to you. Time with family, self-care, etc.  There may be resentment and frustration. Everything seems urgent as you find you are falling behind.

You may start measuring the value of what you receive in return for your effort.  This is a pivotal point.  A moment to pause and reflect on your core essence and intention. This is when you notice.

Meditating is Quietly Rewarding.

You must have a belief that it is beneficial to your overall well-being. If you don’t, it is too easy to stop.

Meditating quietly changes everything.  Quietly, slowly you discover you are calmer and clearer, less reactive or annoyed.  You find yourself in the flow of life, ready to respond with kindness. It doesn’t matter if you stopped for a while and are just getting back to meditating.  Within you is a stillness, a cellular memory of what it’s like to be connected on this deeper spiritual level. The feeling of inner bliss returns and you start living life with happiness and contentment.

So, the lesson is simple.  Pause often.  Take care of your self.  Spend time in nature. Make time for family and friends. Connect.  Listen. Laugh.  Because quietly, your inner world is creating your outer world.
