The Spiritual Meaning of Easter
Easter represents light, fertility and rebirth resulting from surrender and completion. While there may still be suffering, the path is now lit and there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Easter falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon in spring. This year the full pink moon falls on Saturday with Easter on Sunday. The energy is light and bright and we delight in seeing flowers begin to burst through the earth and longer daylight hours and warmth bring more light into our lives.
This Easter as I recover from an unexpected medical emergency and rest in reflection, I sense a sacred insurgence. It is quietly strong and peacefully calm. You may feel it too, for I am not alone.
On the playful, lighter side we have the Easter bunny, eggs, chicks, egg hunts, and family/friend gatherings. Let us remember others may be missing loved ones. There are moments of mourning and moments of joyful memories. Reach out to others with kindness and caring. A text, email, or phone call is a spiritual hello that eases the transition from loss to rebirth.

May mother earth bring you comfort and inspiration
