Sensitive Souls and Boundaries

Highly sensitive people and empaths are more likely to experience anxiety, stress and depression. Their capacity to ‘feel’ or tune into energy is automatic and as much a blessing as an irritation.

A highly sensitive person or empath is someone with the strong ability to feel the thoughts, emotions and energy of others. They ‘feel’ the mental or emotional states of others in a way that cannot be explained, a paranormal way. And this can lead to anxiety, stress and depression.

Great news! With spiritual or energetic boundaries an empath or highly sensitive person can manage their personal space in a way that allows them to still tune into others, but without literally taking on the others feelings or thoughts. They remain connected and healthy, without becoming depleted or overwhelmed.

The long term affects of an empath not having boundaries creates a strain on their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. It translates into feeling depressed, anxious and stressed. But it doesn’t need to be that way.

Being a highly sensitive person or empath is a gift that is not intended to cause them to be depleted, drained, overwhelmed, anxious, stressed or depressed. It is intended to connect them with others in a deeply heart-centered, intuitive way that supports healing for everyone.
