How to define your Aura and Boundaries

BoundariesWhen we have clearly defined self-boundaries we feel clear, focused, and safe.  We are aware of our own emotions, thoughts and ideas.  Boundaries also allow us to be aware of other people, their ideas, and circumstances without losing ourselves to their agenda or ideals. We’re able to differentiate what is ours and separate ourselves from that which is not ours.

Boundaries do not wall us off, divide or separate us in a negative way.  Instead they allow us to be in the presence of others with harmony and peace, aware of ourselves and others with respect.

Clear boundaries highlight what is inside our personal space, enabling us to stay centered, grounded, and focused.

We experience unclear boundaries as being distracted, unfocused, uncertain, and feeling like we  have taken on someone else’s feelings, problems, ideas or expectations.  This can happen without us even knowing it’s happened. We attend a function and part way through discover we don’t feel quite right or we have signed up for something we did not really want. In this scenario we have been influenced by someone else’s agenda because our boundaries were unclear.   We lost our focus and self to someone else’s ideals.
