Preparing with Awareness
October 2025 Insights
By Regina Kaiser
As autumn arrives with the promise of winter, it is a time to prepare for a more inner focus. Nature is wise and reminds us of the importance of resting and stillness.
For many of us the pace of life doesn’t make it easy to honour this stillness. Our intentions to create time for ourselves seem to get gobbled up by things that need to get done, or simply put, procrastination.
Spiritually, each of us is pushed to evolve. That doesn’t mean having to ‘work hard’ all the time, trying to figure out the meaning of events. While there is a certain excitement that comes with the aha moments, it is more important to be present and experience each moment to it’s fullest.
The mind is always racing ahead living in the future or moving backwards in time, reliving the past. Pay attention to what your patterns are. Only you can change them.
Each of us has learned to pause and acknowledge each other. Not just friends, family and co-workers, but strangers too. Your smile and acknowledgment may just change another person’s life, including yours.
I invite you to challenge yourself this autumn in being present for yourself and others. Sometimes no words are required. Just presence. This is how awareness works. It brings our attention to all that is unfolding in and around us. Awareness especially takes us inwards to reconnect with why we are here and how we can make a difference. Be that.
