When identified for what it is, guilt can become a catalyst for healing and conscious change. Guilt points us to your own values and intention, your self worth. Where there is guilt there is a strong belief that one decision is the only choice. Shame and guilt are connected.
When you experience guilt you believe you should be feeling a certain way.
When you experience shame you have a sense you should be doing something differently.
