About Energy and Spirit

Before we define the four bodies of consciousness, let’s learn about energy and spirit. Everything begins and is created on an energy level first. And everything in the universe is made up of energy. This includes the flowers, trees, water, buildings, you, your body, your thoughts, emotions and memories. Energy is information that is currently flowing through your localized human experience. You are basically a bundle of energy.

The Four Bodies of Consciousness

You are multi-dimensional with your own energy system that relates to SPIRIT, SOUL, MIND and BODY. These are also known as the four bodies of consciousness. They are experienced simultaneously.

Definitions of Spirit, Soul, Mind and Body

1. SPIRIT

Everything begins and is created on an energy level first. And everything in the universe is made up of energy. Energy is information that is currently flowing through your localized human experience.

Spirit is the non-physical energy of infinite possibilities defining your core essence, intention and integrity. Spirit defines your core essence, your intention and integrity. While everything is made of energy, you are a conscious being as you can feel, see think and be aware of energy on all levels. We are one eternal spirit, each having an individual human experience.

Meditating expands your conscious experience through the awareness of your infinite self.

2. SOUL

Your soul is also non-physical energy, but is specific to you. It is like a hologram of your personality and life in this human experience.  When the body dies, the soul continues on a non-physical level. At some point, it reincarnates with that information, into a new life.

Meditating nurtures connecting the soul with spirit, mind and body.

3. MIND

The mind is non-physical, and includes emotions, thoughts, self-image, ego and the intellect. When your mind is quiet and your emotions are calm, you experience inner peace and freedom. You are aware as spirit first.  Overactive thoughts or overwhelming emotions,  cause you to experience life as difficult or challenging and leads to anxiety.  What you focus on mentally, grows.

Meditating brings awareness inwards, to witness your thoughts as a peaceful spirit having a human experience so you can choose what to focus on.

4. BODY

Your physical body is made up of matter and energy, and responds to the choices you make relating to food and exercise. Your physical body is where you experience ease, calm and physical well-being as well as tension, stress, emotions and illness. When you experience discomfort, tension, pain, and disease Spirit and soul are bringing awareness to something inside you that is non-physical seeking to heal.

Meditating draws awareness to the physical self as spirit first by listening to what the body needs to make healthy choices and heal.

Connecting the Bodies of Self

The act of meditating is so much more than relaxing and calming the mind. It takes you inwards to transform and purify your energy fields, your bodies of consciousness.  It’s natural, now and again, to lose yourself to emotions, thoughts or your physical reality.  Often fear and anxiety make it hard see 0ther possibilities.

The best thing to do is meditate so you can listen, hear and see what you need from within. Additionally, you want to be open to what the universe is placing in your path. Allow yourself to receive the messages that support your well-being.

Connecting the bodies of self requires constant acceptance that they work together in harmony. The body will eventually die. Your soul and spirit live forever.
