1. Meditation is a spiritual or religious practice.
Meditation is a practice that supports us to enter stillness from within, to transcend the chattering mind and experience silence, stillness and clarity; to create a clearer, abundant future.
Meditating does not require a spiritual belief or religion and may be used alongside most religions without any conflicts. Meditation is for everyone who is open and willing to accept they are responsible for the life they are creating for themselves.
2. Meditation is difficult and takes a long time.
This is rooted in the belief that only certain people like monks, saints, or sages are able to meditate, or that people who meditate are spaced out, living in an esoteric world. The truth is, with an experienced, knowledgeable instructor, meditation becomes easy and fun to learn. The reason most people find meditation difficult is because the mind and thoughts are distracting. But with continued support and practice with a qualified instructor, meditating is easy, encouraging the clearing of distracting barriers to create a life of inner peace and happiness.
3. Meditating will hypnotize you.
In meditation a person is aware of what they are experiencing and going through, while hypnotizing takes a person through the impressions that are in the mind. Meditation frees these impressions to create a clear free consciousness. Those who meditate regularly cannot generally be easily hypnotized because they are grounded in the present moment.
4. Meditation is escapism.
The true purpose of meditation is not to take the person away, but to align Spirit with mind and body. Meditating supports us to be present with our life circumstances, while clearing difficulties and barriers to create stillness, acceptance, and live with mindfulness. Rather than avoid or escape from stress, Veracis® Meditation uses techniques to clear toxic, negative conditioning.
5. I don’t have enough time to meditate
This is an indication Spirit, mind and body are out of balance. People who meditate regularly actually have more time because they are more focused, clear and calm. When you make meditating a priority, the rest of your life simply begins to fall into place with ease and flow.
