A combination of two quiet yoga practices – yin & restorative. The quiet and profound experience of the held poses from Yin Yoga mixed with the soft, supported, and surrendered postures of a Restorative Yoga practice.
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time—for beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more. Yin is especially beneficial for those who sit for extended periods of time and for runners.
Restorative yoga is simply that – restorative. It is the centering of your breath and body – aligning the physical and mental by practicing stillness or gentle movement for extended periods of time. The props assist in helping you to hold poses longer.
