Blink And It’s June
Blink and it’s already June! If you have kids or grandkids in school, they are about to complete another grade. Summer will arrive and before you know it, they’re back to school in September making new memories. Seasons come and go, as you are there for others, ensuring they get what they want to live a full life.
Blink, and before you know it, they’re grown up and leaving for university, college, travelling, getting married, and having kids of their own. Blink and you’re ready to retire. We all know this story, even if we don’t have kids of our own. Time seems to fly by and you find yourself in the next chapter of your life.
Before you blink, take a moment to arrive in the present moment.
Your kids, family and friends want to spend time with you. They want YOU to be happy and healthy, to play and have fun with them. Too often, the seriousness of life takes over and you find yourself worrying and planning, rather than getting in there and making new memories with them. Let’s change that.
If you’ve been sitting on the side lines, watching others playing and having fun, then it’s time to get in there yourself. Get in the water and play with others! Don’t worry about what you look like, whether you have cellulite, wrinkles, or a muffin top. You are depriving yourself and those around you from enjoying splashing and playing, having you with them in making new memories. Don’t make your memory one where you never participate because you are the adult and there are things to do. Get out there, get involved, and start enjoying the happiness of life.
When you hold back on your personal enjoyment and needs, you are creating future regret and disappointment. That’s because the time for you may never come. Think about it. Have a look back at your life and observe what you wish you would have done. So, buy that outfit, sign up for that event, travel, go to the park, ocean, lakeside, and invite friends over to enjoy watermelon together.
Harness that hippie energy inside that is easy going, ready to have fun and be in life.
LIVE FOR TODAY.
Live your life to the fullest today. The laundry will wait, the dust will come back, the bills will get paid, and you’ll be smiling. Self-care is a priority for you and those around you.

This post really spoke to me Regina. One of the biggest lessons I learned during the retreat was that I’d been taking my life way too seriously. I have a good life. I didn’t like the way I’d been living it (as if it were a never ending, stressful chore). I’m so grateful for the retreat and for this post. Can’t wait for next May!
Christie that is an awesome ‘aha’! Too many of us get caught up in that busy, stressful life. So glad you are honouring the self-care process on all levels of consciousness. And I’m especially delighted you are joining us at our Spring Meditation Retreat May 17-20, 2024! Regina
