Insights: Healing the Heart

“Oh, my heart!”  Words that describe a deeply heart-felt connection with a feeling of connection and acceptance.

Sadly, at times, the heart is rejected and abandoned. This happens when the mind and head lead with logic, dismissing the relational needs of the heart.  It happens quickly without notice, and will affect future experiences. This might be experienced as a heaviness in the chest, heart area.

Fortunately, the heart has a natural way of connecting with life moments that aid the healing process.  Something as simple as a smile, kind word, or pictures find their way into your heart to nurture love and change a heavy heart into an open heart.

The heart centre represents affinity with self and others. It  relates to personal needs alongside the needs of others.  The heart must receive self love in order to give love. There is a powerful act that rebalances the heart and soul with the head and mind.  It is the act of loving kindness

A powerful connection is created by giving and receiving to self and others through the act of loving kindness. Generated from the heart centre, there is no longer a battle between what is right or wrong.  The act of honouring self and others equally creates harmonious balance. Loving kindness brings awareness to empathy and compassion.

2 Directions of Loving Kindness

  1. Self
  2. Others

Loving Kindness is intending for all to be safe, happy and loved.  This soulful space opens the heart and calms the mind to leave you feeling connected and calm.  There is a sense of contributing to the well-being of all.

“Your heart knows you better than anyone else. Your mind knows things.” Regina Kaiser
