Insights: Rebirth & Revival

“Each night, when I go to sleep, I die. And the next morning, when I wake up, I am reborn.”
Mahatma Gandhi

This weekend we celebrate Easter and make history as our current safety concerns prevent us from gathering physically in one space. We call it social distancing. But it is actually physical distancing. Creatively we’ve found ways to stay socially connected using the internet and virtual solutions; cars meeting in parking lots with safe distancing, facetime, etc.

We are living through a Rebirth and where there is rebirth this is also death and loss.

Easter is a holiday that is not only religious, but sacred in different ways. Good Friday observes the death of Jesus and Easter is his resurrection. Regardless of your religious or spiritual beliefs we can all observe death makes space for rebirth. Where there is death there is loss, sadness, grief, mourning and emotions that don’t feel good. This is an important part of every human experience…to be real and feel.

When we lose something that is meaningful in our lives there is a period of sadness, confusion, gratitude, and even anxiety. This is a natural response as you transition through a period of recovery. We are all experiencing losses in how we did things before corona virus! We are more grateful than ever for what we had and have today. We miss the old ways…. The exciting thing is that when you let go you will experience a new beginning, a rebirth of the soul. Additionally imagine the power of collectively experiencing rebirth…..

Rebirth doesn’t have to be complicated. While it can be associated with reincarnation, we don’t need to die physically to tune into the powerful message of rebirth. Rebirth is a new beginning. It is a chance to look beneath the surface of your soul, your thoughts, feelings, memories to let go of the old and to uncover, or resurrect the new. Everyone can experience the power of rebirth to feel revived and alive with renewed trust.

Join us this Sunday at 11 am for a special Easter Meditation on Rebirth.

It won’t replace the way you celebrated Easter in the past. Rather it is a new way to connect as a peaceful spirit in a human body during a time of physical distancing. Spiritually we are always connected.

May you be filled and surrounded with Light, Laughter and Love, Regina
