Insights: Staying Flexible with Change

Become Flexible with Change

Imagine yourself as a leaf on a tree. You’re absorbing sunlight, creating oxygen, creating shade and food. But suddenly there is change. The temperature is cooler and wetter and you sense a shift on the horizon.

You have reached a point of awareness when you know intuitively there is change on the horizon that asks for flexibility.

However, you are not a leaf. As a peaceful spirit in a human body you have the capacity to think. Thinking can become excessive and instead of experiencing the joy of change, you spend your energy analyzing potential outcomes. This is because you want to be prepared and create ease and flow for the future. There is however, a fine line of balance that is needed to enjoy the journey through change.

Knowing and trusting in your heart that change is part of life makes it easier to adapt and stay flexible. Like the trees and leaves in the wind, they bend with, not against the flow of nature.

How flexible are you with change?

If your mind and heart start racing to cause you distress and anxiety, then it may be time to invite in support with a guided meditation class specifically designed to help with change.   There may be many reasons  or excuses not to admit you are feeling this way.  Recognize these are part of your spiritual journey. An overactive will always outdistance your heart and body.

Stop. Listen. Shift

In this week’s meditation we practice flexibility and reassurance so that fears and uncertainties can be transformed to embrace change with wisdom and trust.
