This week we celebrate Loving Kindness at all our meditation and yoga classes. Loving Kindness is caring and connecting without any attachment to a specific outcome. It is the art of giving and receiving with an open heart and mind. Learning to understand how to practice loving kindness requires letting go of expectations and attachments. Imagine how different your relationships would be if you did not expect the other person to give you a desired response. With loving kindness you learn to release those attachments and expectations even when they are unfolding in the moment.
You may also wish to extend your love to others who are struggling with health or other concerns. Learn how to support others without depleting your own energy and encouraging others to grow stronger
Love is the core of our existence. It is gentle, kind and accepting. Kindness is to be thoughtful, considerate, gentle and understanding. Kindness is not thinking you are better than another or that it is ‘the right thing to do’.
