How Present are You?

August Insights 2025 – by Regina Kaiser

Life brings us opportunities to evolve. Some of these events are easier to identify because they are more challenging.  But there are many, many smaller lessons unfolding every day that can easily be missed.

When someone shows up in your life who has a story or words of wisdom to share, it can be life altering.  They are bringing information that could make a big difference in the life you are creating.

The question is, are you listening and watching?  Or are you lost in the tasks of everyday life?

You may think to yourself you don’t want to watch for messages, or work harder to evolve. After all, life is already busy enough.  Maybe it’s time to live smarter.

The Secret to Hearing your Messages

Being in the present moment, not just in body, but mind and soul means your are aligned.  The mind and emotions tend to linger in the past recreating what cannot be changed or ahead of the self living in the future.  This living between the past and future keeps you from being present.

The body is always in the present moment.

Focusing on the Present

Learning to stay present requires a conscious intention to always be aware of what is unfolding in the moment.  It’s not always easy though, as your mind is formulating a reply based much on what you already know, meaning you aren’t fully listening. Fortunately, your body can help you with this lesson as it communicates through physical sensations. Here are a few questions you can ask yourself:

  • Does my body need food, water, movement, nurturing, or rest?
  • Am I listening to my body’s cues and providing it with what it needs?
    • If not, what is interfering with you having this connection? Maybe you’re so busy recreating the past or planning the future that you’ve forgotten to appreciate the present.

When you are present life seems to slow down.  The racing mind becomes calm and emotions are manageable. You begin to notice more.

Spiritually you are always guided to stay true to your self as spirit first, to align with your intention in the present moment.
