Title:                     Part Time Assistant Manager (flexible hours)

Reports to:         Owner/Manager Regina Kaiser

Summary of Position

Veracis Meditation & Wellness Centre in Port Moody is growing!  Join us in supporting individuals to achieve wholeness and happiness through meditation, yoga and holistic services.  You will provide exceptional customer service, actively close sales, oversee planning, organizing, retention, orientation and leadership, and become an intricate component of our progressive team environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with the owner to achieve plans and goals.
  • Reach company objectives in planning, sales, service, inventory, quality, appearance of facility and cleanliness, overseeing team and creating a positive productive working environment.
  • Responsible for handling front desk (reception), gift shop, and administrative duties:
    • Open and Close centre
    • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner. Includes waivers, flyers, brochures, schedules, data bases, and sales reports.
    • Social media posting
    • Maintain gift shop inventory

Customer service

  • Greet clients with, friendly, courteous service at all times.
  • Assist instructors with studio and class set up; therapists with maintaining treatment rooms to ensure a successful client experience.
  • Answer phone calls and emails for clients and team
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Cashier

  • Receive and process payments for gift shop and on line clients
  • Control cash and other receipts .

Registration & appointments

  • Enroll clients and book appointments as needed
  • Follow up with clients in a timely manner
  • Prepare and update schedule with instructors and owner

Housekeeping

  • Preparation and cleaning of tea & dishes
  • General housekeeping

Skills Required:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and some Access, Social Media
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Comfortable working in a quiet workplace, alone, and during busy times
  • Has a appreciation of the healing arts and spirituality
  • Ability to multi task and demonstrate proven leadership skills

Previous Experience

One year customer service/receptionist/retail
Two years administrative experience

This position starts immediately. Hours include evenings and weekend shifts.

Tue. Wed. Thu.  5-9 Sat & Sun 10 am – 2 pm (Approximately 20+ hours per week)

Rate is $17-20 based on previous experience. Potential to expand hours.
