Meditation Benefits

By dedicating twenty minutes a day to meditate, one can achieve mental and emotional stability, inner peace, compassion, healthy relationships, and a strong spiritual foundation. Combined with healthy eating and exercising, meditating creates overall balanced wellness.

Everything in the universe is made of energy vibrating at different frequencies.  Solid matter is easiest for us to relate to because we see it as tangible – the physical body, the table, clothing, car, etc.  Our thoughts and emotions are also made of energy and while we cannot see them physically, we can see/feel their effect on our body. How we relate to thoughts, emotions and physical environments will depend on our connection with our inner self, our Spirit.  Spirit defines our core essence, intention and integrity. Focusing our attention on our inner self (spirit), we can now work through the dualities of perception known as our ego and personal experience.

Imagine viewing a movie screen with centered awareness. Who we are as spirit, (also known as the witness), observes the thoughts, sensations and emotions as separate from the core self.

The current physical discomfort, frustration, or confusion does not define our spirit. With awareness, experience and knowledge, we have the power to change our reality. With continued practice we discover there is something bigger inside us, our core essence, our spirit. From here we gain insights and understanding to who we are, what we need and what we want, and why we are here. The more in touch we are with our spirit, the more clarity and power we have in creating ease and wellness in our lives.
