Mother Earth always delivers! I woke to a fresh blanket of snow on this glorious earth day here in the south Cariboo. It seems mother nature is reminding us to be patient as we experience cooler than usual weather for spring. She reminds us of her infinite creative wisdom.
We tend to get ahead of ourselves, wanting the usual warmth of spring and summer to be here. Certainly, when it’s been wet and cold longer than usual, we start to feel impatient. Complaints replace contentment as we eagerly anticipate brighter, warmer days.
My connection with Mother Earth, Gaia, always brings me to a place of humbleness, stillness, connection and awe. Worries or concerns disappear as my breath deepens and the rhythm of her heartbeat grounds me into the present moment.
I’ve learned to embrace her wisdom even if it doesn’t align with my desires or plans. Patience brings a sense of calm and personal wisdom.
Mother Earth reminds us to be still and drink in her wisdom to feel replenished, peaceful and whole. We can do that gazing upon mountains, trees, or sitting by a lake, stream or ocean. Even a photograph can capture her essence and bring us back to grounded, stillness.
